Takhisis Returns!

Palanthas – A kender claiming to be a Cleric of Takhisis has come to Palanthas with a startling message – Takhisis has returned!

"The Dark Queen has returned," Lily Ann Sojourner told Herald.

Nearly a decade after she was last seen in Palanthas, so-called Cleric of Takhisis Lily Ann Sojourner returned to the city and immediately started preaching about the return of her goddess.

"I do not lie when I tell you Queen Takhisis has returned," said Sojourner. "I have felt her power stirring for nearly a month now, but it is emanating from many areas almost like her essence is...scattered."

Authorities were immediately summoned to take the kender into custody.

"Last time she was in Palanthas she caused quite a bit of trouble with her little garden project," said Landgrave Tor Hiltmore, Knight of the Rose. Hiltmore is referring to the trouble with some Shoikan Treants around the last time Sojourner was seen. "When I heard she was back in town I came down here to personally escort her to jail."

Sojourner's news about Takhisis is being considered just a kender tale. Most consider it a hoax just like all the reports of body parts of the fallen queen for sale.

Regis Hardtack a local baker scoffed, "The Queen is dead. The little loony is just trading on her name like all the other con artists out there. The Guard did a good thing locking her up before she actually convinced anyone of such lunacy."

Sojourner is being held in the City Jail pending trial.
