Fifth Watch falling 6  Ajattuus Kan'caan Destroyedby Darcwulf, Staff Writer Ambeon-Another legendary elven site has been lost to the world. The near mythical Ajattuus Kan'caan, or in the common tongue the "Temple of Thought", was razed by an overwhelming minotaur army. The famed monastery, jointly run by House Mystic and House Protector, was the school where the warrior monks of Matheri learned their deadly arts. It was located in the deepest, wildest part of the Silvanesti forests atop a stone hill. Despite this seemingly obvious locale, few but the students ever saw the place thanks to the magic of the temples guardian. However, the ongoing destructive colonisation techniques of the minotaur as they build their new land of Ambeon, where they tame the wilderness through deforestation and annihilation finally revealed the secret of it's location. The approach to monastery was not without it's guardians, many centaurs, satyrs and other fey fell fighting the horned invaders before withdrawing to the safety of the Temple. Rhiannon of Matheri, one of the survivors of the attack told the Herald, "The bull-men launched an attack and apparently expected the school to fall easily to their might. For over a year the Guardian of the Temple and our fighting monks repulsed their wave after wave of attack. Within the last month the walls of Ajattuus Kan'caan have been relentlessly pounded by the siege engines of the bull-men. We believed we could hold out against them indefinitely. We were wrong. We never expected a threat to be beneath our very feet, until the floor collapsed out from under us. Once our defenses were breached the bull-men rushed into and we were swiftly over powered. Though I was not at the final battle I am told the Daughter of Matheri died defending the school. I am sad that such a noble creature as the couatl who guarded us for many millennia fell to the depradation of the bull-men.". Rhiannon and a small band of survivors escaped the destruction and fled to Inath-Wakenti The minotaurs of Ambeon call Ajattuus Kan'caan's fall a great victory for their empire, but inside sources say that three legions were decimated and the ruins, reputedly haunted, are considered highly dangerous and have been secretly classified as no go area. Adventure HookRhiannon of Matheri needs stalwart adventurers, loyal to the elven cause, to accompany her on a trip to the ruins of Ajattuus Kan'caan. She wishes to recover several powerful relics of the elven people, which were in the safekeeping of the monks, but which they were forced to leave behind when they escaped the monastery's fall.
