Kagonesti Oracle Discovers Temporal Anomalies

Kalaman – A Kagonesti Oracle of Zivilyn has discovered two anomalies in the River of Time.

Riverwatcher, a Kagonesti Alluvial Oracle of Zivilyn and the founder of the Temple of the World Tree in Kalaman has identified what he termed as two "temporal eddies" in the River of Time over the past two weeks. According to Riverwatcher, these 'eddies' coincide with recent news concerning the black-robed Par-Salian the Black, and the blind woman found in Brasdel, Marlana Catherwood.

Riverwatcher told the Herald, "Ordinarily temporal eddies are of little concern as they are little more than a pebble dropped in the larger River. They usually ripple for a moment then vanish. These temporal eddies though are different. Instead of being just a brief ripple, these eddies are creating dangerous cross currents; currents which move against the natural flow of the River of Time."

"I first became aware of them during my divinations two weeks ago, when the Palanthas Herald reported on the assault of the young woman by the black robe wizard calling himself Par-Salian the Black. I did a little research and turned up evidence that the Orders of High Sorcery were once headed by a person named Par-Salian; however, my research indicates he was of the White Robes, not the Black and that he disappeared several years after the Blue Lady's War."

"I noticed a similar phenomenon last week around the same time that the blind woman was found wandering the foothills near Brasdel. Unfortunately I was only able to learn the woman resides in Thelgaard, not enough to really build a theory on, other than this eddy is behaving in the same manner as that spawned by Par-Salian the Black. Both eddies seem to be spawning currents which are reaching back against the River of Time. I'm afraid these eddies are attempting to re-direct the flow of the River. What this means exactly is hard to say."

Riverwatcher's research into the nature of Par-Salian the Black was corroborated by sources at the Great Library. Representatives of the Orders of High Sorcery could not be reached for comment.
