Merchants Guild Considers Trade With Neraka

Palanthas - On Kirinor, the Palanthas Merchants Guild announced plans to open trade routes to Neraka. The decision to trade with Nerakan merchants was made on a meeting between the guild's council members on Majetag.

"We know that our plans to open trade routes to Neraka are very controversial, and we'll likely see some opposition," said Jena uth Korrin, chairman of the Palanthas Merchants Guild. "However, we're confident that the city as a whole will benefit from trade with Neraka. Just imagine the amount of steel that'll pour into the city coffers and the new and interesting wares Palanthians will be able to purchase. Some of the finest weapon smiths in Ansalon reside in Neraka."

The guild's announcement sparked fierce debate throughout the city and Lord Regent du Chagne was seen on multiple occasions by several witnesses, entering and exiting the guildhall. It is widely believed that the Lord Regent is for such trade routes and that his support will determine the outcome of the guild's plans.

"This is a scandal!" said local merchant Ghuios Thornspike. "The Dragonarmies marched from Neraka and the Dark Knights are based there. How can we possibly trade with those who have caused us such pain and despair? Heck, by trading with them we'll actively finance their vile schemes. I refuse to be a part of it."
