Eye in the Crowd - The New Gem of Palanthas

Palanthas - If you have been the least bit attentive to the excited murmurings of the Palanthas elite over the past few days then you might well be wondering what the big to do is about. The excitement is not limited to just the affluent. Indeed no, the bug has bitten the artistic community as well. One can only wonder what has equally affected these two vastly different groups of our city. Well wonder no more.

Just last week the Lost Wrights Company announced that they have completed construction on Palanthas' newest theater dubbed Manik's Manor. For its premiere the Manor will be showing a production of the play that shares the name of the very building. Manik the Mage will be showing in just two short weeks at the Manor. Palanthas' own son Furios QiSarn will direct the play.

Don't bother rushing out to get tickets. According to representatives from the Lost Wrights Company the first several performances have already sold out. If early ticket sales were to be taking as any indication of future success it would appear that a night at the theater will have to be planned some months in advance. So the Herald wants to know...

How do you feel about the opening of Manik's Manor? Excited, balsa, or couldn't care less?

Marsha Haggard, retired grandmother of 7, reluctantly shared her feelings:
"Sheesh, I am hardly excited. I don't care much for the theater. Nor do I care for actors. Dirty thieving profession if one can even call it that. The men are drunkards, and the women are, well, too worldly, if you take my meaning. The whole thing has a negative influence on the kiddos. As if there weren't enough of those in this city. People used to care about what the city stood for."

Merit Boudreaux, rare bird trapper, kindly answered our question:
"I'm excited! I have seen many plays in my lifetime. My job has taken me on the road a lot, and you can usually find them in any small town being preformed by one traveling troupe or another. Most are bad, but entertaining at the least. That being said I haven't ever seen a play performed in such a grand setting. I don't care if the actors are horrible. I will be sure and attend a performance just to be inside the Manor itself. The building is extravagant. It's a gem among the building of Palanthas."

Jacob Kozue, university student, was bursting at the seams to share the following:
"I can hardly wait till the opening. I have had my tickets for some months now. I stood in line all night and most of the morning to get them. It was so cold I thought I might freeze to death. I was sick afterwards and I missed a week of classes. This theatre is just what Palanthas needed."
