Palanthas – On Misham, the Senate narrowly approved implementation of the Kender Rehabilitation Act.
According to sources within the Senate, the vote to implement the measure introduced by Greyson Halliwell of the Solamnic Auxillary fell amongst party lines. The act was approved by a 27-23 vote. Five progressive senators crossed party lines in support of the act while only two traditionalist senators voted against it.
When asked for a comment, Halliwell told the Herald, "This is a step in the right direction. No more will Palanthas have to engage in a "catch and release" program when it comes to the kender. Now we shall know where they are and takes steps to correct their lawless acts. I am confident that, once they see the results of the kender Rehabilitation Act, the citizens of Palanthas will wonder how we ever functioned without it."
City officials were quick to point out that the Kender Rehabilitation Act has been passed on a trial basis with the option to close down the project, should things not go as planned.
