PalanthasThe departure of a popular traveling merchant's show from Palanthas was indefinitely delayed when the City Guard impounded two of the teamster's carts for violating city safety regulations.

"Hawklight's Hullabaloo of Wonders" was scheduled to leave Palanthas Linaras morning following their final show and sale in the Labyrinth Bracha night. However, an audience member at the final show noticed smoke and steam billowing from one of the caravan's covered wagons and immediately reported their concerns to the City Guard.

"What the person saw was the effects of the gnomish steam wagon the merchants were warming up as a planned part of the show's 'big finale, '" said Captain Richard uth Koeckert of the City Guard. "However, the Hullabaloo did not possess the proper permits to operate such a dangerous device within Palanthas city limits and it was immediately ordered shut off and then seized by the City Guard."

With the help of members of the Palanthas City Teamsters Guild, City Guard officials thoroughly searched the caravan for further safety violations and discovered a cart with illegally modified axles.

"Both carts have been impounded until a time that they are brought up to code," Koeckert said.

The Hullabaloo's half-ogre owner Bashin' Beorn is threatening legal action against the Teamsters Guild for seizing his property and disrupting his summer schedule of events.

However, Teamster Guild Head Zachary Jeffries said that all merchant caravans in Palanthas are required to follow Teamster Guild regulations while in the city.

"Caravanning and wagon safety laws have been in place for decades in Palanthas. It is our responsibility to see that both the merchants and their customers are as safe as possible the entire time they interact with each other; be it at the marketplace or on the city streets," Jeffries said.

Hawklight's Hullabaloo of Wonders is a traveling merchant's show dedicated to providing innovative alchemical and technological solutions to common household problems.
