Hawkstone Base Found In Wool Warehouse
by Gerrin, Staff Writer
Palanthas - On Misham, the City Guard released a statement that confirmed that the Hawkstone base of operations was found. The base which was located in a wool warehouse by the harbor was found abandoned. Several watchmen report that the base had been abandoned in a hurry.
"Well there wasn't a whole lot left here," Sergeant Ulric Liton of the City Guard said. "From what we can gather the Hawkstones have fled this base and possibly fled the city. This supports our suspicions that they have moved on. With no attacks having been reported in the past two weeks it would appear that the Hawkstones have found what they wanted."
The last confirmed robbery by the Hawkstones occurred two weeks ago, as they robbed the home of Lord Tristan Kendrall. Although there has never been any official list of what was taken from the home authorities have concluded that the items that were taken must have been of substantial value. No items were recovered from the warehouse from any of the Hawkstone robberies.
Despite the news of the Hawkstones' apparent disappearance many citizens are still not at ease in the city. According to many of the citizens the Herald has spoken with the main reason is that there have been no major arrests of Hawkstone members. Even still many city officials are happy with the results of the investigation so far. Several city officials have even attributed the decline of the Hawkstone's attacks and their apparent departure to the activation of the Golden Shield.
"If it wasn't for the Shield, then we would still have those blasted Hawkstones," senator Tolbin Mauryan said. "Their presence during the attack of Lord Kendrall's home must have scared the Hawkstone's out of the city. In fact since then I haven't heard of another attack."
