Tenth Watch falling 3 ![]() Desperate Solace Farmers Rush To Gatewayby Aspen, Staff Writer Gateway - The farms of the Solace area received good news two days ago. The blue wheat that the local mill had refused to process has been accepted by Gateway and is being ground at the Gateway mill. By noon, the road between Solace and Gateway was overtaken by teams of horses pulling grain sleds. When asked why he had accepted the mysterious blue wheat, Blake Biccum said, "'Why not? With the crops being poor ...again, I need the work. And if that fool Cesik (Solace's miller) doesn't need the money then it's his loss and the God's are smiling on me for it. Let them bring it. Blue or not, people need flour." Biccum has already had three Solace bakeries showing interest in the flour. The blue wheat came from fields in the solace area which had been afflicted with mysterious, braided crop circles. |
