Elven music of Quevalin Soth at Lord's Palace

Palanthas - A bardic group of elves calling themselves "the descendants of Quevalin" will be performing in at The Lord's Palace this evening.

For many of those in the audience the performance will be the first time hearing the tunes of Quevalin Soth. In the time prior to the cataclysm, Quevalin Soth was known as "the Bard of Krynn". No members of the elven group are in relation to the great bard of times past.

A representative of the elven troupe, Kardanon Oakleaf (221), commented that their main focus will be on the later works of the famous minstrel. "We hope to spread the old ways of music to this modern era and whilst doing so lift the bar for modern poetry and lyricism throughout the civilized areas of Ansalon," states Oakleaf. The troupe plans on staying in Palanthas throughout next week, and leaving on the Knight's High Road on First Watch of Palast.

Jordanov Riviere (37), of the City Watch states "We're underhanded as it is, and now alot of our attention is forced on keeping guard over a troupe of elven musicians! They couldn't have arrived at a worse time. I mean, we are still having to deal with these Hawkstone criminals and not getting very far to boot. I honestly don't see what all the hoo-hah is about, but you never know what rich folk from Old City come up with."

The young kender Bangleheights Fieldhopper (30ish), commented "I've heard them play before in Solanthus. The Knights were really into it. I think they need a little polish though, maybe if the fellow on the chimes picked up the pace, and they could use some war drums, and the whooping of a hoopak every now and then. It would'nt hurt if they added some kenderspeak to a few of their more boring verses. If it weren't for my devotion to Takhisis, I would join them in an instant. They really could use some pepping up."

Amongst the known attendees will be several members of the Senate and representatives of the Great Library of Palanthas. The price of admission will be 3 silver pieces and will include a banquet in honor of celebrating the poetry of Quevalin Soth. The event will be held at the Lord's Palace at Evening Watch.
