Tightening Ring

The Tightening Ring was the second part of the Maelstrom after the Outer Reach. It was here that the icy rain, thunder, and lightning started for the Maelstrom. Only very experienced Mariners were capable of navigating back outside this ring. The next ring of the Maelstrom was the Nightmare Sea.
