Self-Contained Air Purifier

The Self-Contained Air Purifier is an invention of the Gnomes of the Spire Mountains, that is fitted onto all the ships of the Fire Fleet. The purifier is the breathing system for the ships, which consists of a breathing helmet, backpack scrubber and foot pumping system.

The helmet locks into the clothing of the gnomes, blocking the poisonous gasses of the Burning Sea, and air is sucked in through the bellow shoes, which are powered whenever the gnome walks. The air is then pumped from the shoes into the scrubber. The scrubber cleans the air to remove the gasses and then sends the cleaned air into the helmet for the gnome. Because the scrubbers are constantly utilising fluids and chemicals to clean the air, they only last for around 100 hours of operation before they need to be replaced.
