Aethelred the Squat (? AC - ? AC) was a male Fianawar Dwarf that was a chieftain of his people who journeyed to the Rainward Isles during the Age of Despair. On arriving, he found that the various kingdoms were engaged in fighting with one another, and were hotly embroiled in the Wars of the Isles. The wise dwarf petitioned all the kingdoms for unity, and managed to put an end to the fighting, and to get the Rainward Kings to unify as one nation.
