King's Palace (New Aurim)

The King's Palace is the residence of the King of Thenol in the city of New Aurim. The palace is a vast architectural mess, that has been designed and redesigned over the centuries by a host of different builders. The palace was first built when the city was founded, and originally had a massive staff of caretakers and gardeners. However since the king has become little more than a puppet to the Bishop of Hith, the staff maintaining the palace has diminished to a handful, as the king himself is little more than a prisoner.

The palace is rundown and whole wings are now entirely abandoned to the rats and insects. The dungeons are home to carrion crawlers and great serpents, and the cellars are neglected and near forgotten.
