AllshrineArticle written by AmbroThe Allshrine was a large temple in Watermere. It was made of sculpted coral. The Allshrine was dedicated to Mishakal, Habbakuk, Kiri-Jolith, and the four Dargonesti Gods. The temple was located a few miles south of the Land of the Dead. The Allshrine had a large rectory for Clerics to live in. Also, all Dargonesti clerics were not buried in the Land of the Dead but under the Allshrine in a crypt. The temple was constructed in the Age of Dreams when the Dargonesti Elves first settled Watermere. At dawn every day a large gong was struck on top of the Allshrine. The noise was heard throughout Watermere and was called the Call of the Morning. The gong was also struck at midday and at sunset. At sunset the Dargonesti engaged in a ritual. First they would bow toward the direction of the Allshrine. Then Dargonesti would turn toward Takaluras where they grasp their hands over their chest to show their loyalty to the Speaker of the Moon. Then they face southwest toward Sagarassi's lands and cross their hands in front of their face and finally face northeast and place their hands over their eyes and then ears then turn their backs. The last was a sign that the Dargonesti people have turned their backs on the Dimernesti Elves. Whether this ritual is still done now that the Sea Elves have repaired their bonds is unknown. When a Dargonesti elf is born the parents bring the baby to the Allshrine within thirty-six hours (if possible) for the child's destiny to be foretold. References
