Miranda

Article written by Uziel

Miranda (? AC - 358 AC) was the Upright Man (technically Upright Woman) of the eastern quarter of the Old City district of Kristophan during the latter part of the Age of Despair. She was a Human female whose beauty was renowned and had all the intelligence and cunning of a criminal mastermind. The criminal overlord based her operations from Miranda's Palace, and hoped to insinuate herself into the good graces of the Emperor of the Imperial League, to truly gain a foothold into the ranks of the powerful and mighty of Taladas.

All of Miranda's plotting was undone in 358 AC however, when she was poisoned by followers of Hith. Realising that she was dying and that the followers of Hith wanted to add her corpse to their undead legions, she hired a group of adventurers to guard her body until it was cremated. The adventurers were paid handsomely for their efforts in protecting Miranda until her death, and then oversaw the cremation to ensure she could not be raised from beyond the grave.
