Horned Houses

The Horned Houses is the term for the social rank that all Minotaurs not of the Imperial Family, hold in the Imperial League. The Horned Houses are considered to be directly below the Imperial Family in the social ladder... which places minotaurs above all other races. Whilst many of the wealthy and powerful minotaurs do indeed hold themselves above Humans, Dwarves, Elves and other races, many of the poorer minotaurs are actually indebted to the wealthier non-minotaur merchants.

These non-minotaur merchants and powerful agents of the League are considered to be almost equal in society to the minotaurs, and are known by the term -iskis, which is an appellation added to the end of their names.
