Conditions of TrialArticle written by UzielThe Conditions of Trial are a set of procedures that are carried out to ensure a legal case is correctly raised and carried out in the Imperial League. A Praetor is the governing party over this process, and is the one who hears the case during the Inquiry phase. Most cases are presented by a lawyer, however some parties instead choose to represent themselves at the hearing. Following the hearing, the Praetor will determine if a law has been broken. If not, the case is thrown out, however if it has, then the first step is to try to reach a settlement between the two parties. In the case where a settlement cannot be achieved, then the case moves onto the second phase, the Conditions of Combat. References
