Great Escarpment

Article written by Uziel

The Great Escarpment is a large block of worn sandstone that thrust through the centre of the Panak Desert during the Great Destruction. The sandstone block initially rises 100 feet above Lower Panak and ultimately sits 300 feet above the lower plains at its highest point.

Since the Great Destruction, the Great Escarpment has progressively eroded and worn away, resulting in crumbling sand blocks being dotted across the lower plains. It has also made climbing the Great Escarpment a treacherous journey, but has left large gaps in the wall that can be safely passed through at certain points. Through these gaps, one can pass through the Panak Desert and reach the Ring Mountains.
