SevenspiresArticle written by UzielThe Sevenspires were seven great onion-domed towers that were the highest towers in the great city of Suluk in the Rainward Isles. Two of the towers were made from green stone, two from blue stone, and the middle three towers were carved from white moonstone. All the towers were inlaid with gold and different kinds of gems, and all stood over three hundred feet tall. The Sevenspires was also the residence of the King of Suluk. The palace had a singular entrance in the form of two broad black wooden doors that were inlaid with malachite. Guards and archers were based throughout the great oval entrance hall of the palace, and the floor was decorated with a monstrous mosaic of the continent of Taladas. The interior of the Sevenspires was just as lavish as the exterior, with white marble walls and broad pillars, as well as fountains and sculptures spread throughout. The ceiling of the great hall was painted to look like a twilight sky, with the constellations of the various gods. A dais of black stone lay in the rear of the great hall, which had seven steps leading up to it, and was the seat of power, the throne of the King of Suluk in Sevenspires. During the assault on Suluk by the Hobgoblin army of Maladar an-Desh, the foul sorcerer's magic brought the seven great spires toppling down to ruins. References
