Forest of Night

Article written by Uziel

The Forest of Night was a thick forest that ran for miles through the Aurim Empire, and had such a dense canopy that almost no light got through. It was considered an enchanted and holy place by the locals. During the Great Destruction over three quarters of the forest was destroyed, and the remainder was slowly poisoned by the winds and rain that blew over Old Aurim.

In 425 AC, Maladar an-Desh ordered that the remainder of the Forest of Night be cut down and used by his Hobgoblin army to create rafts to sail towards the Rainward Isles to launch an assault upon the kingdoms there.
