WyndlassArticle written by UzielWyndlass are huge brownish-black creatures that have ten tentacles and three blue eyes. With beaked faces, they closely resemble a giant octopus and dwell in swamps and wetlands in almost every part of Krynn. Wyndlass feast on any animals that come within their grasp and have been known to attack travellers on occasion.
These nasty creatures soften the earth around them and bury themselves in the ground, so they can launch themselves on unprepared victims. A wyndlass can grow up to 30 feet in length and they weigh up to a ton. The wyndlass are used as servants and guardians by the Yaggol of Taladas. They understand Common amd can communicate with the yaggol easily. The oil from a wyndlass is prized by some folk and is used in crafting particular types of salves and armor. References
