Chapak

Chapak is a type of weapon used by the Kender of both Ansalon and Taladas. This weapon is also known as the snapper axe, and is both a hand axe and a slingshot combined in one weapon.

The chapak normally has a long single axe blade mounted on a haft of ironwood, and the rear of the axe blade has two prongs. On these prongs is a cat-gut sling to fire rocks and small missiles, and small holes are drilled into the haft, so the chapak can be used as a makeshift flute.
