Steward of the Sword

Steward of the Sword or Clerist Steward is the third rank and is after Sergeant of the Sword in the Order of the Sword. It is the rank of Subcaptain within the order. A Steward of the Sword is usually in command of a company of two other knights and ten men-at-arms. Usually after achieving this rank a knight will make the decision of attempting to enter the Order of the Rose before advancing further or staying in the Order of the Sword.
