Solamnic OathArticle written by AmbroThe Solamnic Oath of the Knights of Solamnia was "Est Solarus oth Mithas" in the Solamnic Language. It means "My honor is my life". It was created by the knights' founder Vinas Solamnus. It was what the knights are supposed to live their lives by. It was also sometimes called the Code. By the time of the War of the Lance, the Knights of Solamnia had lost the spirit of the Oath and were only living by the Measure until Sturm Brightblade showed them their mistake by his sacrifice. In 427 AC, Jaymes Markham stated that no one in the Army of Solamnia had to speak the oath and no one would be criticized for not taking it. References
