Sacred Chancery

The Sacred Chancery was a large library in the Great Temple of Istar. It was in the wing north of the basilica and five stories tall. The windows of the chancery were honey-colored crystal that would make even moonlight seem like sunset in the library. There were no decorations in the chancery except the platinum triangle that was on the end of every bookshelf. The chancery was a maze of shelves and even the scholars that worked there would get lost sometimes in it. Before the Cataclysm, the Sacred Chancery was the third largest library in the world and had the largest collection of religious and sacrilegious books. A High Archivist was a title of one of the Clerics that ran the chancery.
