Karthay Pah (? - ? PC) was a male Human King of Istar. It is known that he ruled in the early Age of Might. He had scribes carve the events of the era on plates of gold and silver. The gold plates had mention of Karthay and the silver ones were events that did not involve the king. The plates were stored in his treasury. Centuries later, a scribe from Palanthas came to Istar, and spent three decades copying the plates for the Great Library of Palanthas. Kender TalesAn older source said it was Astinus himself that journeyed and spent thirty years copying these plates but a later source said it was a scribe from the Great Library of Palanthas. Another source stated that Karthay commissioned the Disks of Mishakal to be made, but this goes against what is believed the true history of the disks. An older source stated that Karthay was the first king of Istar, but other sources say that was Galeric. References
