The Ankholian Undead has origins dating back to the Age of Might when the Wizard Ankholus attempted to create a fireshadow, an extra planar entity, and failed. The Ankholian Undead are the reanimated corpses of whatever creature the caster casts at. Their bones, which often show through the skin, are covered in a pale shimmering green light, which can be seen through their flesh in spite of varying stages of decay. In addition to the green aura the Ankholian Undead are robed in an extremely dangerous and powerful aura of heat that radiates from their rotting corpses incinerating anything that it comes into contact with. In stark contrast to this heat aura the Ankholian Undead have a breath weapon that deals in deadly cold damage despite its uncanny likeness to green flame.
