Indanalis Sea

The Indanalis Sea is located near the center of Taladas, running between the Steamwall Mountains and the Spire Mountains, and also fed by the Tiderun Strait. The waters are heated to scalding extremes, having been boiled from the magma of Hitehkel, giving the Indanalis Sea the more common name of the Boiling Sea. A vast steam cloud rises miles above the water level, and the sky directly above

Prior to the Great Destruction, the Indanalis Sea ran through the eastern lands of Taladas, and met the Urdile Ocean. The jungles of Neron to the south, and the sprawling Aurim Empire to the north, bordered the Indanalis Sea. However with the Great Destruction, new lands arose and the Indanalis was reformed when it was cut off from the Urdile Ocean in the east.

The waters of the Indanalis are now kept boiling with the constant flow of lava from Hitehkel, and the Indanalis is filled with poisonous salts and brine. Few creatures can survive in the waters of the Indanalis Sea, but there are a few strange and odd beasts that have managed to survive. The water is known to be able to rapidly rot wood, and etch metal, making sailing the sea both rare and extremely foolhardy.

The steam that rises above the Indanalis Sea is filled with sulphurs and causes a constant drizzle of hot rain. The rain covers a broad stretch of the land around the Indanalis, and is known to cause rot, mold and tarnish in a variety of materials. Everything that the rain touches smells strongly of sulphur. The Sea of Poison, as many now know it, is a dangerous place indeed.
