Hysolar (? PC - 172 PC) was a former Kingpriest of Istar who was chosen to lead the Holy Empire of Istar following the Interregnum. Hysolar was a iron-fisted Cleric, and soon after being crowned, stepped up the destruction of evil. He blamed the enemies of the church as the ones who started the riots. The Silvanesti withdrew from Istar, and the Knights of Solamnia threatened to do it also since Hysolar's reign was so harsh. Hysolar's heart burst though before the Knight could leave, and to gain back the trust of the Knights the high clerics rejected Hysolar's heir. Instead, they offered the crown to High Clerist Sularis, the first ever for a non-Istaran.
