IstaranArticle written by Kranar DroginAn Istaran, also sometimes called Istarian, are Humans and items from the old Holy Empire of Istar who were originally Kalinese. They first became a people around 2500 PC, when the small fishing village of Istar was founded. The people had no desire to become more than a fishing village, until the White Robes built their Tower of High Sorcery. The people quickly became a Warrior class, and with the assistance of the Wizards grew in their power. After the Empire had grown, the people still were warriors, but started to have a heavy worship of Paladine creating a caste of Clerics. Eventually the people became self-righteous, single-minded fanatics. When the Cataclysm struck, the Istaran people that were left were shattered. The descendants of the Istaran blood can be found in Baliforian, Flotsamite, Nerakan, Khurish, Nordmen, and others. References
