Half-Goblins

Article written by Paul Record

Half-goblins are typically born from a union of Humans and Goblins. They are usually the same height as their human parents; tend to have a reddish or rust-colored hue and the flattened features of their goblin parent. They are the same size as hobgoblins but have different types of teeth and eyes. Their backs are usually hunched and have scrawny limbs. Bugbear half-goblins are hairier and bulkier.

Most half-goblins are cocky, overbearing, and aggressive. There are some races that admire this kind of behavior but most societies find half-goblins arrogant until they prove themselves. They tend to see all sides of an issue and work to make others compromise or come together to solve an issue.

Half-goblins are known to live in either goblin tribes or human settlements. Their personalities usually disfavor roles of leadership, as they often question authority and rarely follow others, however, if no leader can be found, they will step up for the job.

Almost all of Ansalon's half-goblins live in the goblin nation of Sikk'et Hul, using Ergothian name conventions when naming their offspring. They follow no particular god and speak Common, Ogre Language, Ergot, or Nerakese Language.
