Great Impalement

The Great Impalement was an event in the history of the mighty Aurim Empire of Taladas, in which the Emperor of Aurim finally quelled a rebellion against him.

The nobles of Aurim tried to organise an assassination of their tyrannical ruler, Maladar an-Desh, but failed. In response, Emperor Maladar ordered that the second son of each of the rebellious lords was brought to the Square of Spears. The Emperor personally watched each nobleman's son be impaled on stakes over the course of two days and nights, and then had the remains fed to crocodiles.
