Uld is a settlement of the Fianawar Dwarves in the north-eastern part of the Steamwall Mountains. It is carved into the rock of the mountains, with all the dwarves living in stone houses. Uld has series of stairs leading to upper and lower levels in the mountains, and stretches over five hundred feet tall. A pair of heavy stone gates blocked the path leading into Uld and was guarded at all times by several dwarven warriors.

In 424 AC, Shadow Kender invaded Uld in search of the Hooded One. The statue had already been sold and taken from the village. The shadow kender searched the entire length of the settlement, killing every single inhabitant.

Uld was left a complete and utter ghost town, with not a single survivor remaining.
