Native to the Tamire is the fearsome man-eating predator known as the steppe-tiger. The beasts were once vicious predators that hunted down the natives of the area, but were hunted down by the Uigan to near extinction sometime around 1424 PC. The few remaining steppe-tigers reside in the Ilquar Mountains. Steppe-tigers are large, sleek and muscular cats that have striped fur and razor sharp claws. They also possess sharp teeth, with two great fangs that are the length of small swords. Steppe-tigers possess the strength to easily knock a man to the ground and then kill him. References
