Wartide was capable of painfully manifesting coral armor and a trident from his skin. He like other Mahkwahb could shape shift into a shark. When he changed into a shark it too would be covered in his coral armor.

Blazewight

After the Fire Dragon Blazewight was cursed by Malystryx and fled to the sea he eventually came to the Mahkwahb city of Blood Shoal and forced the elves to serve him. The goddess Zeboim instructed Wartide and her people to be patient and communicated to him a plan. The goddess had resurrected the Human Wizard Zebulah and had Wartide introduced him into dragon's service.

Wartide used Zebulah to manipulate the Dimernesti Elves and Dargonesti Elves led by Zebulah's wife Apoletta in order to get them involved. During these plans Blazewight set his forces to weaken the Aquatic Dragon Anhalstrax. In the fight Zebulah saved Wartide from certain death. Wartide then realized that they were friends.

When Blazewight was finally ready to act on his plans involving an Impaling Throne, Wartide allied his people with the other sea elves. Together they managed to defeat the dragon. Wartide kept his promise and let the Dargonesti and Dimernesti leave alive but warned them to not return.

Later under Zeboim's instructions Wartide had the Impaling Throne recovered and began talks with the Sahuagin who had two more Impaling Thrones in their possession.
