KharolianArticle written by Kranar DroginKharolians are people that are from the lands from the coastline of the Southern Sirrion Sea, east to the Lordcity of Tarsis, and north to the lands of Abanasinia. Most of the people live in villages in the forests, and fishing towns along the coastline. The people used to live in much larger cities, but that was prior to the Cataclysm. People in southern Solamnia, Abanasinia, and Lemish can trace their bloodlines back to the Kharolian people also. Kharolians are slender, dark-haired, light-skinned, with an appreciation for bright colors, jewelry, and in the city of Tarsis, masks. Some Kharolians have blond hair and blue eyes, which comes from their ancestors the Highlanders of Icereach, and are viewed by other Kharolians as inferior. They usually speak both Common and the Kharolian Language, but may also know Abanasinian Launguage, Camptalk, Dwarven, Elven, the Ergothian Language, Goblin Language, or the Ice Folk Language. In the wilds west of Tarsis, many Kharolians will exhibit facial features that are elven in nature, where their ancestors married an elf. Half-elves are more fairly common, and more readily accepted by the people. Anyone that Tarsis would view as "impure" usually try to avoid going to the city. A lot of sages outside of Kharolis will point out that even nobles in Tarsis have some elven blood in their veins. References
