The Wolf Moon Clan was one of the most powerful clans of the Uigan, and one of only four clans that could trace their ancestry back to Ajal Boyla, the first Boyla of the Uigan, which meant they were one of four clans eligible to have a Boyla from their ranks.

In 424 AC, the clan was led by Krogan Boyla, who was also ruler of all the Uigan. With the demise of Krogan in the same year, his son Hoch, became the new Tegin of the clan.
