Arnold Dreary (? AC - ? AC) was the owner and main editor of The Flying Dragon in Nutter's Ridge in 419 AC. He set the paper up, along with a silent partner, to announce secret meetings to people that buy the paper. He had a Gnome named Glubb who ran the machine, and in 419 AC he lost one of his writers for the paper. So he hired a new boy, Randall Wicket, to write mundane stories to bore people. What he got instead was Randall writing his own stories that would lead the paper to sell out.

This did not bode good for Arnold and his partner, since the secret messages were in the form of an advertisement. As more people bought the paper, they became attracted to these places advertised and would go to them. Eventually he ordered the death of Randall, even participating in it. Once Randall was dead, he hired a new boy who would follow his instructions to write boring articles.
