Kierloth was a Qualinesti Elf who was a famous bard of his time. He was known for his romantic poetry and performed in Istar right up until the Cataclysm, where he was killed during the destruction of the holy city.

A number of Kierloth's poems are still revered especially by elves in more contemporary times following his death. Some of his most famous poems are A Leafy Bower, A Heart unmade by Love, Kierloth's Parable and To a Dead Love.
