IrthenieArticle written by Uziel
Irthenie (? PC - ? PC) was a female Kagonesti Elf who was a senator of the Thalas-Enthia of Qualinost in 1892 PC. The senator was quite outspoken in her anti-slavery views, was considered intelligent and a close confident of Kith-Kanan, Speaker of the Sun. The Kagonesti elf had hazel eyes, and was known to always wear the face paint popular with many wild elves that lived beyond the walls of the "civilised elves". The elven senator had four sons who she had raised to be opinionated, vigorous and successful. Irthenie originally lived in the forest with other wild elves, but was caught by Silvanesti warriors who tried to force her to submit to them. She ran away but was recaught and had her leg broken so she couldn't escape again. The wild elf was forced into marriage with the warrior Vernax Kollontine, however she attacked and kill her brutal husband after a short time. For murdering her husband, she was sentenced by Sithel, Speaker of the Stars into slavery as punishment. For thirty-eight years, Irthenie worked as a slave, but was freed during the Kinslayer War and became one of the first settlers to migrate with Kith-Kanan to the new nation of Qualinesti. She clashed several times with other vocal senators, particularly Clovanos and Xixis, in defense of Kith-Kanan, and had joined one of the sub groups within the Thalas-Enthia known as the Speaker's Friends, which were a group of Qualinesti senators that supported the personal leadership of Kith-Kanan.
