Spell-fablesArticle written by AmbroSpell-Fables are what some Dargonesti Elf Wizards use in the place of the magical words of the Magius Language. They are parables of Dargonesti history. The spell-fables can be etched on whale-bone cylinders and must be studied just like what other wizards do with their spell books. The Dargonesti Purists of Watermere believe the spell-fables to be a travesty and against the strict traditions of Magic and as such do not use them. Their use has caused a small schism among the Dargonesti. CreationAfter the Chaos War, the Dargonesti of Istar searched for why magic had disappeared. They began to believe that it still existed but the way to access it had been broken. Led by the Steward of Istar, Apoletta, they looked for new ways to access magic and looked to their past. They eventually turned their spellcraft into a way of remembering their culture's history even though it failed to bring back magic. After the War of Souls, Solinari rewarded the Sea Elves for their faith and made it so the spell-fables would allow access to spells. Known Spell-Fables "And Daydra found a world without color, save for that which she brought with her." Caused some type of light effect spell. There is also a spell-fable about the loyal steed of Daydra Stonecipher that followed her in her quest to fight her sister, Sagarassi. References
