The Wilds

The Wilds are a three mile stretch of untamed wilderness that surrounds the Citadel of Light on Schallsea. The Silver Way goes through the woods. When the Citadel was being constructed, Goldmoon decreed that the wilderness be left intact to give Mystics attuned to nature a place to work. If the Citadel would need any additional buildings they would be constructed in the Port of Schallsea instead.

In 413 AC, Solomirathnius 'transplanted' three Dryads from the Desolation. They have come to live in The Wilds in an area called the Dryads' Grove. Due to this the Citadel Guardians usually just patrol the outskirts of the woods. The dryads are reclusive, but have interacted enough with Qué-Nal raiders that they have come to believe The Wilds are haunted by spirits of women that died by unrequited love.
