Kyanor was a male Nightrunner and leader of his pack. He had gray fur and red eyes. Kyanor had at least one son.

Pre War of the Lance

Kyanor's pack traveled across the Forsaken Mountains and settled in a forest near Thunder Notch. In 350 AC, Kyanor and his pack took down a wounded sheep. An arrow fired by Riverwind had hit the sheep first. When Riverwind found the pack he thought they were just wolves and killed two of them. The nightrunners then revealed themselves for what they really were. Kyanor was angry with Riverwind because one of the nightrunners he killed was his son. The two fought and Riverwind managed to scare off the pack, but Kyanor promised Riverwind that he knew his scent if their paths should ever cross again.
