Caldera (421 AC - ? AC) was a Brass Dragon born into the world after the War of Souls, and was delivered by Linsha Majere. She was one of eighteen eggs originally laid by Purestian, and her siblings are Ashfall, Smoke, Fumarole, Windstone, Firestream, Sulfur, and Eight.. Of her siblings, she was known as the nurturing type.

In 425 AC, Lady Linsha was trapped in the mountains on Mount Thunderhorn. Five of the wyrmlings went to the shadowpeople to ask for their assistance, and were told to free a dam that would allow water to flow in again the fire dragon. Through the combined efforts of all the brothers and sisters, they were able to save Linsha from death, and defeat a fire dragon.
