Dog's Trade PostArticle written by trogers81Dog's Trade Post was a trading station high up on the Vingaard mountain trails. The small business was run by a dour dwarf named Dog. Dog's cabin was made of old wood, but well-maintained and sat in the middle of a forest clearing. The wooden porch of the cabin ran along the front and the windows and doors seemed closer to the ground, a testament to dwarven construction. The small door had a hatch used for glancing out that was about as tall as a human's chest. Inside the squat building was a model of dwarven efficiency. The main room was large, with a low ceiling and cupboards covering the walls. An iron chandelier hung from the center of the room over a large dining table. Sconces in the wall and the fireplace were lit and gave the place a pleasant glow. Other halls lead from the main room into Dog's quarters as well as storage rooms that were locked tight. In the back room of the building, Dog had built a hidden staircase that led underground opening up to more storage space and to the guest bedrooms. This was where the guest of Dog stayed when visiting his cabin. This business was successful and ran for many years until the dark dwarf known as Oddvar tracked Davyn, Catriona, Sindri Suncatcher, Nearra, and Elidor to Dog's Trade Post. Once Dog told Oddvar where the kids were going, Oddvar murdered him with a poisoned blade and took the supplies he needed for the trip over the Vingaard. References
