VyroxArticle written by HarthanVyrox was a mining camp on the minotaur capital isle of Mithas, located near several violent volcanoes. It began as a prosperous mining city, which grew wheat and barley. Apple and pear trees grew plentifully, and a river ran near it. Herds of goats were raised, and there was good hunting. The city had potential to grow into a city as grand as Nethosak. However, the volcanoes erupted and killed nearly a thousand Minotaurs. Many mining shafts collapsed and killed even more. The Minotaur Empire, however, still wanted the goods of Vyrox and sent slaves; Humans at first, but later minotaurs of low social class or who had committed grievous crimes were sent there. The camps were in deplorable conditions, with one for males and the other for females. The food was meager, and guards were cruel. Volcanic dust permeated throughout the air and caused breathing sickness. The miners were worked hard, but the worst work came in the processing stations, where the minotaurs either separated ore from useless rock or worked in the smelting pits, a fate some considered worse than death. For being a supposed servant of Clan Kalin, Faros Es-Kalin was sent there. While there, the disposed patriarch of Clan Droka organized an uprising. Faros and two other minotaurs, Ulthar and Japfin, became leaders of the rebellion. They nearly succeeded by defeating the defense of Maritia de-Droka, but when her brother Bastion de-Droka came with reinforcements their resistance was crushed. The slaves were sent to become workers for the ogres, a fate far worse, and Vyrox was closed afterwards due to lack of labor. Its current state is unknown, but considering the torment Emperor Faros Es-Kalin suffered there it is likely it remains closed. References
