Vinkal Keenedge (? AC - ? AC) was a Human male Knight of Takhisis. He had short dusty blonde hair and piercing green eyes. His face was angular and had dimples in his cheeks and his chin. Vinkal was not an evil man. He just firmly believed in following orders.

Post Chaos War

He was stationed with the occupying force in the city of Palanthas. Vinkal was the personal assistant to Lord Knight Elstone Kinsaid. After Lady Katyana uth Mishakal became a Senator, Vinkal became the liaison between the Dark Knights and the city's Senate.

Vinkal knew that Neltan uth Mishakal was the leader of the Brothers of Freedom. Vinkal let many of their actions go unpunished so that certain information could get funneled to the senate. He did this so changes could be made for Palanthas to survive under the strict military reign of Kinsaid. At the party to celebrate Katyana's thirty five years of public service, he stopped the assassination attempt by the Brothers of Freedom on Kinsaid. Vinkal took the crossbow bolt that was meant for Kinsaid and managed to kill the assassin. As he was dying he lied to Kinsaid and told him that the assassin acted alone. He then revealed to Katyana that he did this because he her. This insurrection was never talked about openly even though many knew of it.

After Death

In 421 AC, Vinkal's spirit visited the Katyana at the War Memorial on Schallsea as she made a pilgrimage to the Citadel of Light. Together they talked until late into the night. Katyana realized that Vinkal was only a soldier following orders.
