In the foothills of the Garnet Mountains, at the northern reaches of the Southlund region of Solamnia, lies the large town of Luinstat. The town has long been known as a trade centre for the entire realm, and is famed for it's extensive and well-stocked markets and warehouses.

Over time, scholars have incorrectly named the town as both Luinstadt, Lyinstat, and Lunistat.
