Gerti (? - ? AC) was a young girl. She was the niece of Rijeen Crestborne. Gerti wanted to see the far corners of the world her aunt sailed to and one day become her navigator. Rijeen promised her that they would climb the Silver Star together so she could see the far away distances that she travels.

Gerti used to throw sticks into a river pretending the sticks were Rijeen's ship the Silver Star. It is unknown how, but Gerti fell into the river and drowned. She was found downstream clutching one of her pretend Silver Stars.

In 421 AC, Rijeen climbed the Silver Star. Gerti appeared to her in a vision telling her to be careful with her Silver Star and of the death of the Green Dragon Beryllinthranox.
